Dr. Glass found naturopathic medicine as she strove to recover from Chronic Fatigue Immune Deficiency Syndrome (CFIDS), and immediately fell in love with it. A lifetime NYC resident, in 1994 she relocated to Portland to become a Naturopathic Doctor (ND) and fulfill her lifetime dream of helping people heal.
Dr. Glass has spoken at several conferences about the physical and emotional issues that can arise for individuals and families living with autism, and she has extensive training in addressing the biomedical & emotional challenges of children and adults diagnosed with conditions on the autism spectrum. She has a niche specialty of helping adults with Aspergers Syndrome. Additionally, Dr. Glass loves helping women with hormone imbalances, food allergies and intolerances and thyroid conditions. She is a teacher of the Buetyko Breathing Method, helping people with respiratory & other conditions regain power over their health.
Dr. Glass knows that her clients have unique medical needs, and thus she creates treatment plans for each individual. She encourages her clients to make lifestyle changes at a comfortable pace, knowing that it is imperative to take steps that are sustainable. The medicines that Dr. Glass prescribes are mostly natural, and include vitamins & minerals, amino acids, botanical medicines, bio-identical hormones, and homeopathic remedies. Dr. Glass is compassionate to the trials of suffering and healing, and is dedicated to supporting her patients as they strive to regain physical, emotional, and spiritual health and wellness. She is an organic gardner, and is interested in sustainable living, canning, healthy eating, walking, hiking, biking, kayaking, and caring for her animal friends. If you make an appointment with Dr. Glass, you will most likely be greeted by her unofficial therapy dog, Rusty.
